First Posting: Why Café Mir?

Well, I guess I always liked the idea of having a café where all my friends could hang out and bring other cool people. A place for interesting conversations, sharing experiences and insights. Would have been great to serve my favorite foods and have a cozy space. However, since my friends are sprinkled throughout the country and the globe, I decided to start the café virtually with this blog. Mir or Мир can mean both world and peace in Russian and several other languages. And that's what it's all about. As this election has shown, we're all in this together. We are the world and we need to start spreading the peace. Here's to change!
